MSC Cruises has announced a relaxation of boarding rules starting October 1, 2022, as specified in the health and safety protocol.
For the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Red Sea, Caribbean, and Antilles, no more swab testing for vaccinated individuals. For all those embarking in Mediterranean, North Europe, Red Sea, Caribbean, and Antilles, the Covid19 vaccination requirement will no longer apply. In the same geographic areas, passengers who are fully vaccinated (two vaccine doses or one Johnson & Johnson dose) will no longer be required to present a negative test result.
The requirement to present a certificate with a negative result from an antigen or molecular test, taken within 48 hours before boarding, remains only for guests who are not fully vaccinated, who have recovered from Covid19 without any vaccine dose, or who have a medical exemption from vaccination with a QR code.
Only for all passengers going on a cruise to the United Arab Emirates or Qatar, full Covid19 vaccination remains mandatory from the age of 16, but not the swab.
