The first Airbus A320neo with new blue livery bears the name of Giacinto Facchetti, extraordinary full-back and captain of the Italian National Football Team between the Sixties and Seventies. It features unique design details such as the Zorro mask and winglets, and from the end of January will serve the medium-range routes of the airline.
Technologically advanced and efficient, the new Airbus A320neo boasts fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per passenger that are 20% lower than previous generation aircraft.
It will enable ITA Airways to further enrich its modern and environment-friendly fleet, which by 2026 will be composed of 80% next-generation aircraft with a consequent reduction of 1.3 million tons of CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, thanks to the innovative cabin design, the new A320neo will offer passengers a reference travel experience, with more modern and comfortable seats.
