At the head of theIsrael National Tourism Office in Italy comes the new director. She is Kalanit Goren Perry, originally from Galilee.

After completing her military service, Kalanit decided to start traveling for a long period to pursue her passion—traveling itself—which later led her, with great originality, to work within the Ministry of Tourism of Israel.

After completing her studies, she worked for a period at the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI), focusing on specific marketing projects. She then joined the Ministry of Tourism of Israel after attending the famous Cadets Course, and went on to work on the Europe desk and specifically on outdoor tourism development. This enabled her to combine specific marketing skills with an interest in culture and a passion for nature, also designing and organizing international sporting events mainly connected with adventure tourism.

Nature, desert, Eilat, Negev

These are the key words in Kalanit’s promotional work carried out in collaboration with Israeli DMCs, international tour operators, and, of course, with the local network, in order to communicate some of the most original and interesting aspects of the destination, sometimes unknown to the general public.

“Building on the legacy of the extraordinary work accomplished so far, my greatest desire is to intensify communication, both traditional and social/digital, through the use of ever more sophisticated communication tools, skills we have acquired in recent months. My goal is to grow all sectors of tourism to Israel, from the more traditional religious tourism to leisure, adventure, and sports tourism, promoting different brands and connecting with the hearts of Italian tourists eager to return to our wonderful Israel,” said Kalanit.
