Where Stockholm is located. Stockholm is a unique city mainly due to its layout: it is situated on 14 small islands connected by bridges and overlooks the Baltic Sea, facing a whole series of constellations of very small islands as well, which can be seen on a boat trip.
Around it, what the locals call the “rock garden”: the Archipelago, a sprinkle of 30,000 islands, atolls, rocky spires dotted with wine-colored cottages, where, in the beautiful season, the comings and goings of sails and rigging are quite impressive.
