Il Sun Path is a mountain bike route over 1400 km long. Located in France, almost at the border with Switzerland and Italy, the route is divided into two parts:
- the first stretches from the Rhône Valley to the Provençal Alps, passing through Valence, Gap and Sisteron;
- the second, instead, extends from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea, more precisely from Grenoble to Nice.
The “Valence-Gap-Sisteron” route runs through the Diois vineyards, at the foot of Vercors, a small mountain in the municipality of Dévoluy, and, after reaching the Gapençais valleys, continues south, in that landscape paradise known as Provence, where you can admire the Buech river up to Sisteron and the enchanting lavender fields.

Instead, the “Grenoble-Nice” route starts with the wonderful balconies of Lake Geneva, overlooking Mont Blanc, then continues over the rugged terrain of the Chartreuse and Vercors mountains, consisting of forests and marked by steep gorges. The final part of the journey is characterized by vineyards and pastures and by a safer path.
