The museum, housed inside the rectory of the Sanctuary of Valliano, documents with an educational setup the development of productive activities and small crafts linked to the activities of the rural world of the hinterland of Rimini. The exhibition, accompanied by illustrative panels, allows the reconstruction of the essential aspects of the socio-economic structure of the territory, identifying the rural house as the center of the peasant world. The museum route guides the visitor to discover the main themes of rural life, especially related to livestock breeding, slaughtering, farming, and artisanal activities. Activities such as honey processing, oil processing, and clay work, peculiar to local production and documented through the exhibition of tools and instruments used in work and daily life, are illustrated. Particular space has been dedicated to the reconstruction of the kitchen environment, the beating heart of the house. Of particular interest are the sections dedicated to a small collection of toys and the production of hemp and linen fibers and fabrics, both domestic and industrial, as in the case of the textile company founded in Montescudo in 1927 by Giuseppe Magnanelli and Silvino Selva, active until the post-war period. The museum also preserves a collection of silver ex votos belonging to the Sanctuary.
