In view of a trip to Ireland, perhaps itinerant, a visit to the Cliffs of Moher cannot be missing from your travel plan, wonderful cliffs that have always been a symbol of Ireland itself, the most authentic and beloved by hikers.
A new route to discover the Cliffs of Moher has recently been presented, featuring 20 kilometers of walking and certainly recommended for good walkers and more experienced hikers.
It is called “Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk” and starts from Hags Head, the southernmost point of the Cliffs of Moher: a great choice would be to stay overnight in Liscannor, being very close by.
From here you will continue until you reach Doolin, a typical fishing village.
The first part of the new route will take place on the road but will soon give way to a very different type of walking: you will have to help yourself with the handrails positioned and there will be several railings and many parapets.
At this point in the itinerary, the effort will be more evident, as it is an uphill area that slopes in steep sections. From time to time you can rely on stone steps.
