Thames Path: a path between Oxford and London

The Thames Path is an English path that begins on the Cotswold Hills and extends southwards along the entire route of the River Thames to land in London.

Il Thames Path is a 294 km trail that runs along the banks of the River Thames, in the heart of the south ofEngland. The start of the route is on the Cotswold hills, at the source of the English River and ends at the “Thames Barrier” in Woolwich, just a few kilometers from the sea.

A journey that will transport you to the magnificent English climate, to discover the evocative and typical counties and the enchanting Anglo-Saxon villages, and then arrive in the heart of cities such as Oxford e London.

The path, very pleasant and above all easy, is suitable for people of all ages, thanks to its predominantly flat nature. Maintaining an average of 24 kilometers per day, you can complete the entire journey in approximately 14 days, including two days of rest.

Your travel companion will be the River Thames, always present throughout the journey. A sweet and soothing journey, in which at the end of the day you can savor a nice typical English tea.

  • Tamigi River: it is the most important river in England. The Thames Path route develops entirely on its banks.
  • Hampton Court Palace: is a royal palace located in the London borough of Richmond upon Thames.
  • Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve: located near Bampton, the reserve consists of 250 hectares of wildlife surrounding the River Thames.
  • Kelmscott Manor: a former colonial house built around 1600 near the River Thames, it was the summer residence of the British artist and writer William Morris.
