Moos Castle Museum - Schulthaus Eppan on the wine route/Eppan an der Weinstrasse

The interesting construction of Castel Moos was originally a medieval fortified residence tower, which was subsequently enriched with furnishings and frescoes from the 1400s. The frescoes depicting the 'War of the Cats and the Mice' (around 1410) are particular. The museum is the result of a foundation by the Bolzano merchant Walter Amonn, who in 1983 donated the castle and part of his collection of paintings by Tyrolean artists from the first half of the XNUMXth century to the community.
