All subway stations are currently closed. The Belgian Authorities have raised the terrorism alert level to 4 (the highest on the scale) in Brussels. The police evacuated and closed the airport. The arrest of the number one suspect, involved in the <em>November<\/em> attack in <em>Paris<\/em> (according to investigators), has, most likely, reignited terrorist hatred in Belgium, which has been reflected in recent attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Since last <em>November 17<\/em>, however, the terrorism alert level in the country has risen to 3 out of 4 (the maximum). One week after, the terrorism alert in the capital <strong>Brussels<\/strong> was lowered from 4 to 3.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Farnesina_Belgium\"><\/span>Farnesina Belgium<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <em>Farnesina<\/em>, even prior to the recent attacks at <em>Zaventem Airport<\/em> and the Brussels subway, advised &#8220;compatriots to exercise particular vigilance and caution, especially in public places with high concentrations of people (including museums and shopping centers), and to scrupulously follow the instructions of Belgian authorities.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Travel_Safely_Brussels\"><\/span>Travel Safely Brussels<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It is also recommended to exercise caution when participating in public events, moving through certain districts of <strong>Brussels<\/strong> (notably Molenbeek), and in using public transportation.
