L\u2019obiettivo \u00e8 quello di creare una rete di 26 localit\u00e0 montane interconnesse che comprendono paesi, regioni e culture differenti. Il progetto \u00e8 nato 10 anni fa per preservare le aree autentiche montane delle Alpi da un turismo di massa sempre pi\u00f9 invasivo, sostenendo i paesaggi e le realt\u00e0 autentiche del territorio e incentivando un turismo ecologico e sostenibile.\u00a0All\u2019<em>Austria<\/em> si sono unite anche l\u2019<em>Italia<\/em>, la <em>Germania<\/em>, la <em>Slovenia<\/em>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The South Tyrol<\/strong>, a region known for its cultural and scenic richness, is the first national entity to join this project, and the town of <strong>Mazia<\/strong> is a symbol of this collaboration.\u00a0<strong>Mazia<\/strong> is located south of the <em>Brenner<\/em> Pass and situated in the heart of the Venosta Alps at the foot of the <em>Cima Palla<\/em>. This small mountain settlement has preserved the authentic character of the Alpine tradition and the local community embodies this cultural richness. Additionally, the extreme conditions of the dry hillside make it a paradise for some rare species of plants and animals. Due to its location at over 1,500 meters altitude, next to the <em>Rio Saldura<\/em> and offering a unique view of <em>La Palla Bianca<\/em>, the town is a destination for hikers following the paths of old irrigation channels called <em>Waale<\/em> and those wishing to admire the seven <em>Saldur Lakes<\/em>. Among the sites of religious and historical interest are the parish church of <em>San Florinus<\/em>, the chapel of <em>San Martino<\/em>, and the ruins of <em>Castel Mazia di Sotto<\/em>. Curiosity: the history of the <em>Mazia Valley<\/em> is as wild as its mountains\u2014 the notorious and legendary thief knights Matscher Raubritter originated from this area.<\/p>\n<p>On July 23rd, during the traditional town festival, the certificate will be formally presented. Also in July, the other partner regions will sign their declaration of participation: this year, the network of German Alpinists&#8217; Villages will be joined by <em>Sachrang<\/em> and <em>Schleching<\/em>.
