An year that will go down in history as “disastrous” for global tourism. The airline Volotea<\/em> issued a statement with the numbers for 2020.<\/p>\n

<\/b>Following the health crisis and the trend recorded by the aviation sector (with an 80% decline in revenue), Volotea<\/em> achieved satisfactory results in 2020, especially in the third quarter when the company’s operational capacity, compared to the previous year, was 83%. With an offer of over 290 routes, Volotea managed to ensure strong connectivity within its network, while adapting it with a particular focus on domestic routes. <\/span><\/br><\/br>This strategic adaptation allowed the airline to transport 3.8 million passengers during the year, with a load factor of 90.7%. Additionally, Volotea increased its on-time performance rate by 14.6 points (OTP15 of 91.7%) and achieved a customer recommendation level exceeding 90%.<\/span><\/br><\/br>Last year, the airline’s strategy was to quickly redefine its network, mainly focusing on domestic offerings (accounting for 86% of its connections) in all countries where it operates. This flexible strategy, combined with the best operational standards, enabled Volotea<\/em> to achieve very satisfactory results in terms of load factor, punctuality, and recommendation rate.<\/span><\/br><\/p>\n
