Reservations are already starting to come in, but what is the market sentiment? Which travel periods are most searched for and what is the demand trend?<\/p>\n<p>In most Italian seaside destinations, searches for overnight stays are mainly concentrated on weekends, with the traditional seasonality culminating in the central weeks of August and a relatively lower spring demand. One might think this is the normal trend for all seaside resorts, but the data clearly show that this is not the case. The <em>Venetian Riviera<\/em>, for example, is a seaside destination with a high share of foreign tourists, but it falls into the large group of destinations with a \u201cclassic\u201d seasonal demand. So, what is the factor that makes the demand for a seaside tourist destination less seasonal? In this case, the geographic positioning of the destination is the crucial factor: the <strong>Amalfi Coast is particularly suited for multi-destination trips, as it is close to the most famous tourist locations worldwide.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Americans_Prefer_the_Amalfi_Coast\"><\/span>Americans Prefer the Amalfi Coast<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Another factor is the composition of the foreign market: while in the <strong>Venetian Riviera, the main foreign markets are short-range (Austria, Germany, Switzerland)<\/strong>, the <strong>more active markets on the Amalfi Coast are long and very long distance<\/strong>, for which geographic distances and travel times are of different importance. According to real-time search data on Booking Engines, <strong>among the most active foreign markets for the Amalfi Coast, the United States ranks first, with demand pressure higher than that of Italians.
