What to see in Lombardy: places of interest

The territory of Lombardy is quite varied and, for this reason, allows different tourist experiences depending on whether you are looking for mountain air, the relaxation of the lakes or the mildness of the plains.

The region is divided into three major bands: the mountainous area with the Central Alps and, in particular, the Mount Adamello,Ortler and the Bernina. Further south it slopes towards Prealps which contain the beauty of Lake Maggiore, from the Lake Garda, from the Lake Como, from the Lake Iseo and Lake Idro. Finally, here it is Po Valley , very extensive to cover almost half of the region. Rich in provinces (Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, Cremona, Como, Lecco, Lodi, Pavia, Mantova, Varese and Sondrio), the Lombardia it is connected to the world via the airports of Linate and Malpensa, the main airports flanked by Orio al Serio.

The region is the protagonist of tourism in the Alpine resorts but also in the art City, dotted with very well preserved churches, fortresses, castles and historic buildings. Mantova it is a pearl of rare beauty, a land of culture and art masterpieces, as well as Upper Bergamo which still today preserves the surrounding walls around the historic centre, of past medieval memories. Detail too Brescia, rich in history and therefore in monuments dating back to the Roman era.
