Press Tour “Potenza and the villages of the valleys”

The press tour in Basilicata begins to discover the beauties of Potenza and some villages of the Melandro and Agri valleys.

The “Potenza ei villages of the valleys”, promoted by the APT (Territorial Promotion Agency) and managed by “FullPress Agency”, an agency specializing in territorial marketing and digital tourism.

Journalists specializing in travel and ed. will take part in the press tour food and wine from Milan e Rome who in four days will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Basilicata, accompanied by travel journalist Anna Bruno. The press tour will unfold from the heart of the city of Potenza up to the places full of history of the municipalities of Brienza, Marsico Nuovo, Sasso di Castalda, Satriano di Lucania and Savoia di Lucania.

We start from the capital with a visit to Adamesteanu National Archaeological Museum, to the historic center, to Church of San Francesco d'Assisi, to Cathedral and to Church of San Michele Arcangelo. From Potenza, then, the journalists will move to the heart of the Melandro Valley where they will have the opportunity to explore the Vallone del Tuorno waterfalls in a Luceto Forest of Savoy of Lucania; to cross the adrenaline “Bridge to the Moon” in Sasso di Castalda; to admire the colorful murals of Satriano di Lucania with his "rumita"; to discover the evocative chapel of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Brienza and the picturesque historic center dominated by the majestic Caracciolo castle.

Finally, the press trip will end on 2 October with a visit to the historic center and the elegant historic buildings of Marsico Nuovo, gateway to the Val d'Agri.

During the press tour there will be no shortage of convivial moments with tastings of typical dishes of the Lucanian tradition. For the specialized press, in fact, there will also be space for a "taste experience" with the preparation of rows of "cruschi" peppers and "homemade pasta", according to traditional Lucanian methods.

The hospitality of the Lucanian mountains can warm the hearts of travellers, generating authentic emotions» concluded Nicoletti.
