BTM arrives in Bari, the ninth edition from 1 to 3 March 2023

BTM, a b2b tourism event now in its ninth edition, has obtained recognition as an international fair. In 2023 it will take place at the Fiera del Levante in Bari, from 1 to 3 March.

The ninth edition of BTM, Business Tourism Management, the richest b1b tourism promotion event in southern Italy in terms of quantity and quality of content, will be held from 3 to 2023 March 2. The event, after years of growth interrupted only by the pandemic, has obtained the recognition of fair international by Region Puglia and decided to make a further leap in quality. For this BTM Puglia today becomes BTM Italia, with the launch of the new website www.btmitalia.it, already online with the news of the next edition. The new headquarters also reveals greater ambitions: it will be the fair of the Levant of Bari to host the 2023 event, with larger and more equipped spaces compared to the previous editions of Taranto 2022 and Lecce 2020, in a pavilion that allows up to 4000 square meters of exhibition surface.

Three days of meetings, think tanks, workshops, training and cultural events with the aim of developing synergies and valuable networking between the main operators in the sector, companies and end users.

The long list of events including speeches, B2B and training panels will make the knowledge of a constantly growing business and the possibility of development for brands and small and large local businesses accessible to visitors. The areas that characterized the program are confirmed fair in previous editions: BTM Gusto, dedicated to food and wine tourism, BTM Wedding Tourism, for operators of honeymooners, BTM between the lines, with presentations of the best books on tourism and BTM4JOB, dedicated to the world of work in tourism.

“BTM has already achieved an international dimension for some years – explains the creator Nevio D'Arpa – in terms of quality of contents, exhibitors, buyers and visitors, as also demonstrated by the media visibility it has acquired over the years. The recognition of fair International is the icing on the cake of the work done so far and for this reason the time has come to channel the potential expressed into a path that also enhances its role as the main meeting place for B2B tourism in southern Italy, without distorting its roots. After the editions of Lecce and Taranto to land BTM in Bari, the regional capital which boasts the trade fair district of fair of the Levant, the fulcrum of Mediterranean trade since 1930, seemed to us the natural way to increase the numbers of fair and maintain a solid bond with the Puglia".

The IX edition of BTM focuses on the promotion of tourism in a sustainable way, catalyzes the themes of the Green & Blue Economy for the valorization of the wonders of the world and destinations leveraging their authenticity, giving value to the communities that live them and make them unique.

The challenge is to pursue this objective with a view to qualifying the offer and professionalising the operators through the dissemination of excellent content, best practices, innovative startups and new technologies, but also new visions. BTM wants to chart the course towards a dimension of continuous renewal. Thanks to the co-production of the Scientific Committee and collaboration with operators, hoteliers, speakers, consultants and experts in the sector, multiple activities will be proposed on specific focuses such asfood and wine, wedding tourism, new visions and new technologies through a holistic approach.

In the last two editions BTM hosted a total of 24 thousand visitors, 330 exhibitors, 350 speakers, 160 international buyers and 150 accredited media. BTM Italia is organized by the events agency 365 Giorni in Puglia srls which has been offering a tourism model based on professionalism, digital training, innovation and hospitality for 8 years.
