The temporal boundaries of the holiday are expanding, new decision-making factors drive the choice of mete, the question breaks down into a much broader spectrum of needs. Travel frees itself from limitations to become «without constraints». This is the path indicated by TTG Travel Experience 2022, manifestation of Italian Exhibition Group that comes back 12 from October to 14 coming in the Rimini exhibition center. It will be held at the same time as TTG SIA Hospitality Design, the most complete showcase in Italy for the hospitality sector with its wide exhibition offering linked to the themes of design, contract and services, which this year expands to the tourism sector open air, e SUN Beach&Outdoor Style, which leads into fair the world of seaside tourism.
This year, the most important Italian tourism marketplace aims to represent a sector capable of broadening its horizons and boundaries, going beyond the traditional concept of holiday through the choice of mete where to experience new stimuli. This is the meaning of «Unbound», the theme of the 59th edition of TTG Travel Experience, represented with the image of a pulsating sphere, dynamic, fluid and reflected in the panorama that surrounds it.
This concept will be the common thread of the "Think Future" event schedule, with a rich program of talks, training meetings and special projects. Between these, Book&Go: now in its 4th edition, this project dedicated to travel publishing brings together the voices of the authors of 12 books, selected from over 120 candidates. Recent titles or even previews from major publishers and self-published books placed on the same shelf: that of free inspiration. In fact, professionals in the tourism supply chain find new tools for narrating the product in this space.
From suggestions for getting in tune with Generation Z, narrated in “Around Italy Not a typical guidebook' (Pyrgos Books, 2022), a guide in which laurentia e Federico Arengi Bentivoglio – two young Italian-American twins – help tour operators understand what GenZs want to do and see while travelling, including new inclusive and gender fluid travel, explored in the autobiography of Stefano Ferri “Crossdresser. Stefano and Stefania, the two parts of me” (Ugo Mursia Editore). Also 'Free Exits. Ideas for Women on the Run' by Simona Martinotti (self-published, 2021) fits into this trend, recounting the experience of a solitary traveler ready to blend in with the places she visits.
Traveling also means discovering new things about yourself and your roots, as they say Sonia Ferrara e Tiziana Nicotera in the 'First Report on roots tourism in Italy' (Egea, 2021)., Alberto Cancian in 'The Journey of Joy' (self-published, 2022) e Wink with 'The Angel's Walk in the Time of Corona' (self-published).
New ways to tell stories destinations tourist sites will be explored by the photographer Francesco Salvaggio, which will explain how to elevate the photographic image to a narrative medium with an often unexpressed power, and from Giulia Alonzo e Oliviero Ponte di Pino, in their book 'Around festivals. Nomadic guide to cultural events' (Altreconomia, 2022). And then space for passions with 'Tourist visions: Marketing, culture and trends' by Debora Calomino (Contamina, 2022), and with “Relationship economics. 17 interpretations and case histories for a new tourism” (Erga Edizioni, 2022) by Liana Pastorin e Andrea Cerrato.
At Book&Go, unusual tourist places are also narrated, as in the book by Giuseppe Ortolano, 'Guide to Italian mines. 90 tourist sites to discover' (Morelli Editore, 2021), which leads to caves, widespread hotels and natural pantries that arose in ancient mines and in place of the villages once inhabited by miners, but also in the book of Elisabetta Frega, 'The moon smiles on Damascus. A journey into Syria che era' (Alpine Studio Editore, 2021), a handbook for operators who wish to contribute to the economic recovery of places just emerging from wars and conflicts to accelerate their return to normality.
