Since 2020, Volotea will allocate two at the Neapolitan port Airbus A319 and will launch 1 new exclusive connection to Alicante (2 weekly frequencies starting from April 2020); The routes available from the airport thus rise to 22, 11 of which are exclusive, for a total offer of 1.000.000 tickets on sale for next year, 150.000 more than in 2019. Napoli the company's richest offering at a national level comes to fruition, and it aims to grow further in the future. Finally, approximately 60 new jobs are estimated linked to the opening of the base.
The opening of the new base is linked to the excellent performance of the carrier a Napoli which recently surpassed the 2.500.000 passengers transported locally. From January to September 2019, the low cost company operated in Napoli about 5.300 flights (+17% vs 2018), reaching a load factor of 94%. Furthermore, in the same period, 672.000 passengers passed through Napoli aboard the fleet Volotea, (+21% compared to the same period of the previous year).

Napoli will be added, from next year, to the carrier's already operational bases in Italy: Venice, Verona, Palermo, GenoVa e Cagliari.
A Napoli, Volotea has a line-up of 22 routes – 11 of these are not operated by any other company: the new route to Alicante will be added to the flights domestic for Cagliari, Catania, GenoVa, Olbia, Palermo, Torino, Trieste and Verona, and to the international ones to Kefalonia, Heraklion, Mykonos, Preveza-Lefkada, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos and Zakynthos in Greece, Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse in French e Bilbao in Spain.
In the coming months, recruitment sessions will be launched at a local level to identify 60 professionals including pilots and on-board staff, to whom a Base Manager will be added for all coordination activities. Finally, we must not forget the income generated by tourist flows passing through the airport and the indirect job opportunities that will be created.
