Spanish airports: swab centers ready

As many as 15 Spanish airports will enable Covid swab centers for departing passengers. The service will contribute to facilitating the return of tourists to their original destinations.

The airports where the Covid swab centers will be enabled are:

  • Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat
  • Malaga-Costa del Sol
  • Alicante-Elche
  • Valencia
  • Seville
  • Bilbao
  • Palma de Mallorca
  • Ibiza
  • Minorca
  • South Tenerife
  • Gran Canaria
  • Fuerteventura
  • César Manrique-Lanzarote
  • The Palm.

Il Covid swab centers will help facilitate the return of tourists to destinations of origin and to access the airport to carry out these tests it will be necessary to present the boarding pass, since entry is reserved for passengers only. The centers will be equipped with an area to carry out the test, and others for waiting and isolation, and will have to preserve the privacy of the passenger.

In case of detection of a positive result after carrying out a PDIA for SARS-CoV-2, the health alert protocols established by the health authorities of the autonomous communities will be activated. The premises will be located in the departure areas of the flights and will carry out the tests mainly for passengers who need them at the arrival airport where health checks have been imposed which require tests with negative results on arrival.

According to the offers presented, the price range is between 70 and 58 euros per PCR (molecular test); from 29,17 to 24,45 euros, for antigens (rapid tests), and from 35 to 29,34 euros for serological tests.
