Qatar Airways resumes flights to Lagos, Nigeria

With the resumption of flights to Lagos, Qatar Airways' network in Africa grows to 44 weekly flights to 10 destinations including Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Kigali, Kilimanjaro, Mogadishu, Nairobi, Tunis and Zanzibar. From Italy the destination can be reached from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa airports with fares starting from 459 Euros.

Qatar Airways reopens services to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) of Lagos, Nigeria. Service to Africa's largest city will be operated, four times a week, from the ultra-modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner of Qatar Airways with 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class. From Italy the destination can be reached from the airports di Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa with rates starting from 459 Euros.

The company will operate in total from September, with the addition of Mogadishu, 44 flights weekly to the African continent and verse ten destinations: Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Kigali, Kilimanjaro, Nairobi, Tunis, Zanzibar, Mogadishu, and Lagos.

With 44 flights weekly around 10 destinations throughout Africa e plans for further reactivations in line with the easing of entry restrictions, we are committed to supporting the recovery of international tourism across the continent, while maintaining vital supply chains to support African businesses.”

Qatar Airways will not apply any price difference for travel before 31 December 2020, after which the fare rules will apply. All tickets booked for travel up to 31 December 2020 will be valid for two years from the date of issue. 

Qatar Airways' home and hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA), has implemented rigorous cleaning procedures and enforced social distancing measures throughout its terminals. Passenger touchpoints are sanitized every 10-15 minutes and boarding gates and bus gate desks are cleaned after each flight. Additionally, hand sanitizers are provided at immigration and security checkpoints. HIA was recently ranked “Third Best Airport in the World,” among 550 airports worldwide, by the 2020 SKYTRAX World Airport Awards. HIA was also voted “Best Airport in the Middle East” for the sixth consecutive year and “Best Service to staff in the Middle East” for the fifth consecutive year.
