"Perhaps not everyone knows that in Italy....”, published by Newton Compton, is the new book by Isa Grassano, travel journalist, in her fourth literary effort (In Traveling with friends, 101 free things to do in Italy, Breakfasts at Tiffany's). The book smells like it's freshly printed even though it is available in "electronic format" and can be purchased on numerous digital platforms. In over 500 pages, scouring the peninsula from north to south, the journalist has brought to light a considerable number of "gems", as I like to define little-known news.

And so the manual aims to help the budding curious but also those who think they have seen a lot but not enough. The whole of Italy, therefore, first appears in the eyes of the writer with its varied province, with its customs, traditions, landscape, monuments, works of art, craftsmanship, gastronomy. As an expert traveller, then, Grassano projects the little-known stories of the peninsula onto paper with the awareness of being able to once again interest her historical readers and those new to her.

"Perhaps not everyone knows that in Italy…", therefore, is a book that comes from curiosity and is intended for those who have always been looking for something new, which comes "out of the ordinary". In a globalized world, in customs, in food and even in the soul, the journalist's book receives the right approval from those who despise the word "déjà-vu". And then, whoever is wounded by curiosity, perishes by curiosity.
