Interesting news relating to rail mobility in Italy: from Sunday 31 January 2016 a new connection on a high-speed route was launched. This is the journey between Milan e Venice, covered since recent days by convoys Frecciarossa di Trenitalia.
Up to now the route has been operated equally but using the Frecciabianca trains but the transport company has decided to "raise the level" of the service with the departure of the Frecciarossa. No substantial change concerns the previous operation: in fact, the number of four daily courses remains confirmed, two for each direction.
As for stops, Trenitalia confirms the previous conditions, with the following stops:
- Milan Centrale
– Brescia,
- Verona New door,
– Vicenza,
– Padua,
- Venice Mestre
- Venice Santa Lucia (and vice versa, for return journeys).
What sees a change is the level of services provided on board, since the Frecciarossa trains offer the possibility of using a meeting room in the Executive level, the lounges and the silence area in the Business level, the Frecce WiFi portal with entertainment, information travel and 3G internet connectivity; the on-board monitors with continuously updated travel news; the Bistro carriage in the center of the train. Finally, there are four environments in which you can choose to travel: Executive, Business, Premium and Standard.
On the occasion of the presentation of this specific innovation, the Trenitalia staff decided to launch a promotional initiative, intended for holders of the CartaFRECCIA: until 29 February 2016, in fact, users registered in the loyalty program who purchase tickets for journeys Milan - Venice (and return) will get double points.
