The engines of Alitalia aircraft are restarted for international and Italian routes. From June 2nd several will be restored flights national and international. In particular: from Rome a New York, Madrid, Barcelona.
National routes also restart with i flights Alitalia between Milan and southern Italy. The Italian national airline will follow 30 routes from 25 airports, of which 15 in Italy and 10 abroad.

Alitalia flights from Milan to Rome, Bari, Catania and Palermo
In particular, from Milan Malpensa – airport where Alitalia will continue its operational activities until the reopening of Linate – Alitalia will operate, in addition to the 8 daily services with Rome Fiumicino, two flights return newspapers with Bari, Catania e Palermo (except for any extensions of restrictions on air transport to and from Sicilia currently in force) and 4 connections per day in Territorial Continuity with Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia.

Da Rome, after having already increased connections with Cagliari (from 4 to 6 per day), Alitalia has also increased the flights with Catania e Palermo (6 to 8 per day).
In June, Alitalia will connect theFiumicino hub with Alghero, Bologna, Bari, GenoVa, Lamezia Terme, Milan, Napoli, Olbia, Pisa, Torino, Venice and, abroad, with Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Munich, Paris e Zurich, Besides New York.
Alitalia flights from October
For the third quarter of 2020, Alitalia expects an activity progression of around 40% of what was planned before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The offer of flights will increase depending on the trend in demand, which already today suggests a recovery on some domestic lines, and benefits from the progressive abolition by foreign countries of restrictions on flights and passengers coming from Italy, as well as lower guidelines discouraging travel to our country.
Alitalia flights in June and July
In the months of June and July Alitalia will also continue cargo operations with China which so far have allowed the importation into Italy of over 70 million protective masks and other medical material (respirators, gloves, glasses and gowns) necessary for the management of the Covid-19 emergency. After the 15 connections operated between March and April and the 24 that will be operated in total in May, the Company has scheduled another 25 cargo services for the month of June.
In collaboration with the Farnesina Crisis Unit, the program of special flights for the repatriation of compatriots stranded abroad also continues, including from airports not normally served by Alitalia. The Company is preparing new connections with theArgentina.
All Alitalia passenger flights are operated using less than half of the seats available on board, in order to comply with the current legal provisions on maintaining minimum distancing.
