ADLER Lodge RITTEN, refuge in the Renon forest in South Tyrol

Surrounded by trees and from the magic of the mountains, the suggestive "refuge" is located very close to the city of Bolzano but in the silence and quiet of a large clearing nestled in a wonderful and sunny plateau, that of Renon (at 1200 meters above sea level).

ADLER Lodge RITTEN it can be reached in just 30 minutes by car from the center of Bolzano or more poetically with the cable car and a walk in the woods. Guests who arrive on foot from the forest to the plateau find themselves in front of the majestic entrance to the central structure entirely covered in black wood and totally immersed in uncontaminated nature; thanks to the windows present on the front and sides, the lodge enjoys a complete panoramic position over the spectacular DOLOMITES (World Heritage ofUnesco since 2009).

With his simple and essential lines, but embellished with new details, the exclusive lodge consists of a 3-storey central body (the Main Lodge) with high ceilings and large open spaces which includes: the ground floor with wellness area (SPA, infinity pool that combines indoors and outdoors, Turkish bath, relaxation room) and fitness area; the reception and a lounge area are located on the second floor; on the third floor, there is the open kitchen and the restaurant "under the stars". Next to the central body there are two complexes comprising 20 bright junior suites with their own biosauna and around they arise 20 charming chalets with large windows they too, all equipped with sauna and fireplace, and some located around a natural lake. Try the aromatic saunas and the relaxation room in the woods, truly magical places of the well-being wrapped in the scent of the trees and suspended between them.

The Lodge was conceived and designed by Andreas and Klaus Sanoner together with the architect Hugo Demetz and built in green building, according to the "forest" concept, with mostly native natural materials, becoming itself part of the landscape.

The black painted wood with which both the central body and the chalets were clad was used to minimize the impact on the nature of the place. Wood, with its warmth and beauty, is the most used material: we can admire untreated spruce and larch wood, oak floors; and again the decorated walls that seem fabric inlays with tribal decorations and bright colors, made up of wooden panels printed with a bas-relief effect: an invention by the architect Demetz, created with skill by a South Tyrolean artisan company. Light plays a fundamental role in the environment creating an atmosphere of maximum quiet and relaxation.
