The Amsterdam City Card: prices and how it works

Also the beautiful city of Amsterdam has its own card designed for tourists, to be able to visit the main attractions for free and to obtain discounts in participating venues. Is called "I Amsterdam City Card” and, exactly as happens with similar cards that can be activated in other cities, it can be chosen in different “formats”, depending on the days available and therefore on its duration.

A truly very interesting extra that offers the “I Amsterdam Card” is the possibility of carrying out cruises free on the canals of Amsterdam: a real gem that will certainly delight those who want to plan a few hours sailing among the canals already a World Heritage Site.

Otherwise you can do everything once you get there Amsterdam, by contacting the Schophol Airport Information Office, the Central Station Information Office (Stationsplein 10, in front of the main entrance), the Leidseplein Information Office (Leidseplein 26, in the Stadsschouwburg theater building), the Museumplein (Keytours, Paulus Potterstraat 8, close to the Van Gogh museums and Rijksmuseum ) and purchase the “I Am Amsterdam Card” or, more simply, the “CIty Card Amsterdam” on site.

You can choose between multiple cuts, as follows Amsterdam Pass prices:

  • I amsterdam City Card valid for 24 hours: €42
  • I amsterdam City Card valid for 48 hours: €52
  • I amsterdam City Card valid for 72 hours: €62.

It is specified that starting from 1 January 2014 the following will change, undergoing a small increase:

  • I amsterdam City Card valid for 24 hours: €47
  • I amsterdam City Card valid for 48 hours: €57
  • I amsterdam City Card valid for 72 hours: €67.

Another Amsterdam Card is Museumplein. This is a single ticket to visit 5 museums in the Dutch city.
